20 Years of Asia-Pacific Design: Rediscovering Joy and Passion in Creation
For two decades, the Asia-Pacific Design Association (APD) has championed its mission of "becoming the professional design hub of the Asia-Pacific region." Over these 20 years, APD has tirelessly promoted the growth of the design industry, creating platforms for designers across the region to connect, share, and showcase their talents. In 2024, the "Asia-Pacific Design Top 20" embraces the theme of "Joy in Graphic Design", inviting designers to reflect on the happiness and fulfillment found in their creative journey amid an era defined by change and uncertainty.
In today’s rapidly evolving world, where technology advances at breakneck speed and trends shift constantly, designers are often tasked with navigating complex and overwhelming streams of information. This can lead to feelings of fatigue, anxiety, or confusion. However, by returning to their original motivations, designers can rediscover the joy of creation—a joy rooted in the passion they bring to their craft and the recognition they receive from society. It is this deep love for design that empowers them to overcome challenges and pursue excellence relentlessly.
