Each examines the role of posters in today’s media landscape and considers how traditional printed posters can continue to remain relevant and influential in an era dominated by digital communication. Contributors include René Grohnert, Peter Klinger, Julia König, Anita Kühnel, Christian Maryka, Philipp Messner, Bettina Richter, Helene Roolf, Christina Thomson, and Sylke Wunderlich.

The volume also includes a directory of all award-winning designers, along with lists of clients and printing companies. As a result, the book serves not only as an annual survey of poster design, but also as a valuable reference for understanding the professional network surrounding contemporary poster production.

The concept and overall design of this yearbook were developed by Berlin-based designers Ira Ivanova and Lou Hillereau. They transform the visual language of packaging and logistics into a metaphor for communication, conceiving the book as a container filled with messages, or as a parcel that gradually reveals its contents during its journey. Labels, traces of tape, and stickers become visual records of the process through which information is transmitted.

Through this approach, 100 Beste Plakate 25 does more than present a collection of posters. It also reflects on the nature of communication itself: each message is like a parcel, carefully prepared, marked, and delivered before finally reaching its intended audience.
