Finn Juhl: Life, Work, World offers a richly illustrated introduction to one of the most distinctive figures in twentieth-century Danish design. Unlike many of his contemporaries, Juhl approached furniture with the eye of a sculptor. Seats, backs, armrests, and timber frames were often treated as separate elements, creating a sense of lightness, movement, and spatial tension. Iconic works such as the Chieftain Chair, Pelican Chair, 48 Chair, Poet Sofa, and Baker Sofa reveal his fascination with the human body, free-form curves, and finely crafted construction.

Juhl’s architectural training also shaped the way he understood furniture.
