【Book Description】

The Most Beautiful Swiss Books competition is organized by the Swiss Federal Office of Culture and is dedicated to recognizing outstanding achievements in book design while promoting excellence in book production. Through national and international book fairs as well as touring exhibitions, the awarded publications gain visibility among a broad audience of readers and design professionals. The 2020 edition selected nineteen winning volumes from a total of 370 submissions, highlighting the diversity and refined quality of contemporary book design. In response to health restrictions caused by the pandemic, a special ad hoc jury composed of professionals from the fields of design and publishing was convened, ensuring a rigorous and fair selection process that continues to uphold Switzerland’s distinguished tradition in book design and production.
