Model/actress Rina Ota and up-and-coming art director Naoki Yago, who won the 2023 JAGDA Newcomer Award,

Correspondence between text and visuals.

Rina Ota, who is a model and actress whose job is based on the premise that her body is reflected in photos and videos, once felt a desire to become a line, not a photo or video. Art director Naoki Yago collaborated and pursued a form of expression that asks, "What is Ota's uniqueness other than appearance?"

This book was inspired by the exhibition of the same name.

For the exhibition, first of all, from dozens of private photos taken by Ota, she selected motifs that she felt were Ota-like, and Yago painted each of these motifs on a B4-sized canvas to complete her work. Based on that, I developed B3 size and B1 size works, and also created acrylic works with the image of stained glass from the idea that "the body is not reflected = transparent".

Along with these works, chairs with Ota's favorite clothes and favorite books were arranged to create a place like Ota's private space.

This book consists of documentary photographs of the exhibition and words by Ota himself.

When you turn the page, even though you can't see Ota in the picture, his words echo and you can feel his presence between the pages, and a mysterious reading experience begins.
