To commemorate the 30th anniversary of the Dragon Quest series, this is a collection of over 500 illustrations drawn by Toriyama Akira over the past 30 years.

The book comes in a luxurious hardcover with a holographic box, and the illustrations are reproduced in vivid colors as close to the original as possible using high-definition 5-color printing in the main text. It includes not only the numbered titles from Dragon Quest to Dragon Quest X for the Family Computer, but also illustrations from the spin-off series, and the setting illustrations of the main character from Dragon Quest XI. Among them are monster setting drawings that have not yet appeared in the game, and several illustrations that have never been released before, making it a must-have for Dragon Quest fans.

The front of the bound-in poster page features a special illustration by Toriyama that was drawn specifically for this book. The package history on the back, which is a collection of package illustrations, gives a glimpse into the 30-year history of Dragon Quest.
