"The Tree of Life and Fairy Cats"
I drew 128 pet cats and related cats of the audience who visited the solo exhibition venue.
This is a masterpiece that took six years to complete.
========
His BOTANICAL FANTASY series, which he has been painting since 2001, is a series of watercolor paintings in which cat fairies with insect wings are placed in botanical paintings. To commemorate this 100th work, I started the ``Tree of Life and Fairy Cats'' project at the solo exhibition held every year.
A blank panel measuring approximately 900mm x 1800mm will be erected at the venue, and the participants will invite the participation of the pet cats and cats that visitors have connections to, and will gradually draw the trees as they draw their appearance as fairies using pencil sketches. is.
After three years of enjoying the process of gradually increasing the number of animals every year, we were about to close the event when we reached 100 animals, but we received a message from everyone who had applied earlier, saying, ``If we accept this child, we will be able to replace the previous generation.'' We received many requests such as ``I want to include that cat,'' and ``I want to include all the previous children,'' so I extended the release of the sketch for another year, and in the end, a total of 128 cats were drawn.
After that, we started coloring, and after showing the progress in progress, it was finally completed 6 years after the first blank panel display.
The work was exhibited every year as it was still a work in progress, and cat lovers who gathered in front of the work talked about their feelings towards cats. This work embraces all of those feelings.
Since ancient times, people have entrusted their wishes for eternal life to the spirits of plants that have the power of regeneration. The Tree of Life is a symbol of this, and is the source to which all living things should return.
This work contains the brilliance of the lives of many cats and the wishes of the people who love them... ``Cats, please be happy forever.'' I would appreciate it if you could feel that energy from the images of each part.
